Board certified in Immigration and Nationality Law, Nelli Nikova brings twelve years of experience working at a national law firm where she established and grew the Houston immigration practice, assisting large corporate clients with petitions for non-immigrant and immigrant visas on behalf of skilled professionals, advising on I-9 compliance issues, and guiding individual investors and investor companies through the process of seeking appropriate visa status to accomplish business objectives. She has worked with artists, athletes and business specialists with exceptional abilities, as well as medical professionals in underserved areas, successfully obtaining their Legal Permanent Resident status.

Nelli started her legal career in West Texas, where she developed a broad-based immigration practice helping clients with family-based immigrant petitions, asylum, deportation proceedings, complex naturalization issues, temporary unskilled worker visas, religious worker visas, and employment-based visas.

Prior to graduating from University of Houston Law Center in 2002, Nelli completed her master’s degree in Counseling from Baylor University, where she studied after emigrating from Bulgaria as a foreign student during the Perestroika. Nelli believes that feta cheese can go with any meal and her favorite movies are One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest and Hair.
